During his last visit to Vibram headquarter, we asked Matteo Mendiola from Volta some questions about the future perspectives of cooperation between the two brands.
Vibram: As soon as you entered the market, you focused on the “instant classic” concept. Can you try to explain it us?
Matteo: We wanted our product to become quickly a “must” in the footwear sector, a shoe able to face all the fashion trends. Add to this the possibility to wear it every time during the year, as the use of unlined upper for summers shoes proofs.
Vibram: Are you still working at a fusion between formal and casual styles?
Matteo: Yes we are. Moreover, we are pointing to a more formal style in our next collection in order to get this matching more balanced then before.
Vibram: You took up a successful cooperation with Vibram by using its CROSS TRAINING sole for your Strada shoes. Did it represent an added value for you?
Matteo: For sure. Our Strada shoe was conceived to have a Vibram sole on it. And it meets our desire to mix an everyday lifestyle with a technical and lasting product.
Vibram: Will you go on promoting this cooperation?
Matteo: No doubts Vibram and Volta are expected to join and develop new successful solutions for the next collections.
